Our Family Team Has Top Credentials

Did you know that the Solicitors and Legal Executives in our Family Department are Law Society Accredited and members of Resolution?

Members of our family team have earned special recognition for their expertise in particular areas of law by achieving membership in one or more of the Law Society’s accreditation schemes or becoming a member of Resolution.  This provides an assurance to clients that they have chosen a representative with appropriate knowledge, skills and expertise.

Law Society Family Law Accreditation Scheme

Although being a member of a Law Society Accreditation Scheme is voluntary, the expertise of scheme members has been verified and their accomplishment recognised by the Law Society.  Accredited members must demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Law Society that they have and will continue to maintain a high level of knowledge, skill, experience and practice in the area of law for which their accreditation has been awarded.

This covers all types of family law work, except Public Paw Children Act work.

Our Family Law Accredited member is Cathy Achilles.

The Advanced Family Law accreditation recognises members that are experts in their area of Family Law. Members must have in-depth knowledge and understanding of at least two specific areas of Family Law as well as a general knowledge of Family Law as a whole and the law outside of Family Law.

Our Law Society Family Law Advanced member is Kevan Hankinson.

Children Law Accreditation Scheme

The Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation covers all types of work in children law and provides a recognised standard for Solicitors and Legal Executives who represent children in Children Law Proceedings.

All accredited Children Law Practitioners must agree to follow the Law Society Code of Practice for Children Law. The Code outlines the standards of practice and conduct expected of accredited members throughout the period of their accreditation.

The Accreditation Scheme is also used by professionals, as a means of identifying appropriately qualified Solicitors and Legal Executives to act as legal representatives for Guardians in Proceedings to ensure that the Solicitor or Legal Executive is suitably qualified when representing a child and their interests in Court Proceedings.

Our members are:

Rachel Cryan

Kevan Hankinson

Hollie Loughman

Nicola Wingfield
