It may sometimes be necessary to change the ownership of your property, for example, adding or removing someone to or from the title deeds. This may be following a separation, divorce, or in the case of cohabitation. To do this you will need to enter into a transfer of equity, our team will advise you and prepare the transfer of equity for you.

What our clients say about our Residential Property Service

Very responsive to queries and very patent with an anxious/ stressed client . It was always reassuring to have someone with Philip's experience on side.

Just exchanged on my house and Philip Thompson has been brilliant. He has ensured everything has gone smoothly and chased the buyers solicitors when needed. He kept us informed and was honest with us. Would definitely recommend him for conveyancing. Like any solicitor I'm sure he has a high workload but he has put in the time and we felt like he actually cared about us completing on time. He was very patient with me. Thanks again to Philip and the rest of the team at Butcher & Barlow LLP.

Just to say a massive thank you for all you have done for my dad in regard to his house sale. You are exceptional. You have kept me informed and to speak to you is like speaking to a good friend.

Mrs L

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for everything you did for us during our house move. I know it wasn't the easiest but having you at the end of the phone/email to calm me down and to provide clear details made the whole process so much easier than it would have been with anyone else. I know as a partner of a firm you probably don't need to prove the level of service you are providing but I just wanted to say thank you to show how much we appreciate what you did for us. I will also be recommending you to anyone I know who will be undertaking a house move in the future as you have been great and I can't think of anything that I would have changed in terms of the service provided.

Mr & Mrs R

Emma was recommend by a family friend and I am very glad I took their advice. Buying a house is renowned for being a stressful time and our experience was certainly no different. We were very lucky to have Emma and the team at Butcher & Barlow reassuring us along the way that all was in hand. Going above and beyond to ensure we didn’t cut any corners and most importantly despite being extremely busy making sure we got the updates and support when we needed them most. We are extremely happy to have the keys to our new home and can’t recommend Emma enough.

I had the pleasure of being supported every step of the way by Joanne. She was incredible in being constantly in touch about my first home purchase, even managing to achieve it to a deadline. I give my utmost thanks and appreciation to all that she did for myself and partner to get us in our home. The best first experience I could of hope for.

We thought Joanne was excellent across all three of our transactions. Fantastic service.

Kevan put me in touch with Joanne who provided me with great advice and professional assistance! I would recommend Butcher & Barlow LLP - Thank you Joanne and Kevan!

I wanted to say a big thank you to Sue and Steph for all your help… you both always replied to emails and phone calls and kept me informed along the way. I'm not planning to move house again any time soon but would choose you if I did and I will definitely be recommending your services to friends and family.
