I joined Butcher & Barlow in January 2021 as a Paralegal in the Commercial Dispute Resolution department based at our dedicated commercial office at Gadbrook Park, where I assisted the Head of Litigation, Alex Sandland on a range of Commercial Litigation matters. I also worked within the specialist Property Dispute department with a particular focus on landlord and tenant disputes, both residential and commercial. I am now a Commercial Property and Construction Trainee Solicitor based in our Bramhall office assisting Rachel Martin, Partner and Co-Head of the Commercial Property department and Jo Ormiston, Senior Construction Solicitor.
I completed my LLB at Manchester Metropolitan University where I graduated with a 2.1 and proceeded to study the Legal Practice Course alongside a Masters of Laws in Legal Practice which I completed in January 2021.
I have a keen interest in charitable work and have volunteered with East Cheshire Hospice since 2017. I have sat on the committee for the ‘Friends of Baguley Hall’ as the heritage coordinator since May 2019 and I have recently been appointed as a Trustee for the group. We have been engaging with Historic England, English Heritage and the local community to secure a future for the magnificent grade 1 listed medieval hall. My interests outside the office include visiting historical sites of interest and museums, in my spare time I enjoy walking around the Peak District and reading.
