Mancunian Springs: Press release

Mancunian Spring Company, represented by Daniel Woodcock, has completed a relocation, moving to new premises at Stockport’s Kenwood Road. The family-run business, which has been operating for more than 75 years in Manchester, sells a range of products and specialises in the manufacture of leaf springs. Until May 2020, it was prominently located in Cornbrook opposite the Metrolink tram stop. The move was deemed necessary to facilitate the ongoing regeneration of the area.

Jane Pesticcio, partner at Mancunian Spring Company, said:

“The negotiations leading up to the sale of our Cornbrook site and the successful acquisition of our new premises in Stockport were long-running, complex and challenging. “Our legal team at Butcher & Barlow were fantastic and expertly handled the whole process in a seamless manner, getting the deal done on time and on budget.”

Daniel, Partner in Butcher & Barlow’s commercial property department, added:

“The transaction has secured the future for this long-established and well-known local family business. It is gratifying that, notwithstanding the current pandemic, North West businesses are still successfully completing deals and taking on new premises. Butcher & Barlow remain very much open for business and are keen to help both new and existing clients to achieve their commercial objectives in these challenging times.”
