The Royal Cheshire Show 2019

Butcher & Barlow were happy to return to The Royal Cheshire Show this year and enjoyed two excellent days on 18th & 19th June.

Our Agricultural and Commercial Property teams once again teamed up with Chartered Surveyors and Property Consultants, Fisher German, and The County Land Owners Association. We welcomed a whole host of guests for refreshments and advice and this year saw a new edition to our stand – our very own large deck chair! Guests and mascots enjoyed a well-earned break from the days’ activities, despite it being incredibly difficult and amusing to get out of!

*Did you know that the deckchair was invented in 1886 by John Thomas Moore from Macclesfield and John was awarded a medal from the Cheshire Agricultural Society as a result.*

Mike Bracegirdle and Graham Gigg, two of our Partners in the Agricultural Team at the Gadbrook Park office, and John Hyatt of our Sandbach office, were on hand throughout the Show to provide invaluable assistance with any enquiries existing clients or guests might have. Our Trainee Solicitors were also available to provide refreshments and have a chat with guests.

The drinks reception on the evening of the first day of the show was another success, with a variety of existing clients and new guests having the chance to mingle. This was also another opportunity to put forward any questions whilst sharing a glass of wine (or two!) with our Partners.

Although it did rain overnight, the weather held out for both days but this did mean the car parks were very muddy. One of our Trainees had to have his car pushed out by two very helpful guests!

We are already looking forward to the show next year and we hope to see you there!
