Congratulations to our newly qualified Solicitors

Congratulations to five of our team who qualified as Solicitors this month, after completing their Training Contract with Butcher & Barlow.

Will Allen joined Butcher & Barlow in March 2019, working as a paralegal before commencing his Training Contract in the September.  Will has qualified in to the Commercial Dispute Resolution team at the Gadbrook Park, Northwich office, working alongside Partner Alex Sandland.

Also based at Gadbrook Park is Cameron Shaw, Cameron has been with the Firm since April 2018 and will now specialise in Corporate and Commercial matters, supporting Partner’s Jonathan Aldersley and Justin Kelly.

Both Benjamin Davenport-Lawton and Katy Morgan have qualified in to the Private Client team, specialising in Wills, Administration of Estates, Succession Planning and LPA’s. Ben is based at the Firm’s Runcorn office and Katy at the Northwich, London Road office.

Rachael Pyke spent 18 months as a paralegal with Butcher & Barlow before beginning her training contract. Rachael is now located in our Bury office, working alongside Partner Kevan Hankinson in the Family team.

Anthony Higham, Managing Partner, said of the qualifications;

“We are delighted to have been able to offer our qualifying Solicitors roles in their departments of choice. All five of them have a friendly and professional manner and are well liked and respected by their clients. Their qualification is well deserved and we wish them great success in their career.”

Fifteen of the current Partners and a further four Solicitors undertook their Training Contracts with the Firm, a fact of which Anthony Higham is proud;

“We believe that the work/life balance we offer, combined with the varied caseload and the responsibility we encourage our Solicitors to take, means that we have a driven and contented workforce who want to share not only in maintaining our excellent reputation but in being part of our future.  We believe it is important to encourage each member of staff, whether qualified or not, to feel part of our team and that they can contribute to our continued success.”

The Firm currently has eight Trainees Solicitors, four of whom are in their second year.
