I joined Butcher & Barlow in January 2016 as Office Manager at the Bury Head Office, after carrying out the same role with KBL Solicitors in Bolton. I have 18 years of experience in Office Management within a legal environment. Prior to working within law firms, I have worked within accountancy firms as well as carrying out various temping roles throughout Manchester.
At Butcher & Barlow Head Office, I look after and maintain all staff administration including holidays and sickness records as well as training records for all Fee Earners which includes booking of any courses that are required. I am also responsible for looking after certain parts of office maintenance throughout the firm (copiers/building issues, repairs etc) which can prove quite a challenge when looking after 10 offices at the same time!
I am also involved with recruitment advertising for the firm via our Website, Agencies and Newspapers.
Outside of the office, I live in Bolton, although originally hail from Glasgow, with my husband and my two daughters. It’s not unusual for us to travel to both ends of the country at alternate weekends as we regularly nip down to London to visit my daughter who is at University there and also still have visits up to Glasgow to spend time with family. I am also a Befriender for Age UK in my spare time.
