As Occupational Health & Safety Manager for Butcher & Barlow, I am often on my travels visiting one of our 10 offices, helping to keep everyone safe at work.
Whilst everyone is responsible for their own health and safety, I am here to lend a hand and advise should the need arise. Working with and training all staff members to manage, monitor and improve Health and Safety standards, helping to create a safe and comfortable working environment, and upholding the firm’s policies and responsibilities.
When I am not on the road, you can find me at our Frodsham office developing new safety programmes and catching up on the latest HSE news and regulations.
In my younger days, I worked in similar roles within the automation processing industry for some 10 years plus, (longer than I care to remember) and I am now updating my qualifications to achieve the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
If I am fortunate enough to find myself with some spare time, I like trying new things, especially new guest beers at the pub! I was about to tell you that I am passionate about nutrition but that seems like a bit of a cliché after my last beer comment…everything in moderation.
