Legal Secretary: Leigh

Our Leigh office is looking for a full time Legal Secretary to work within the Property team.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30 – 5.00 with an hour for lunch.

As a Legal Secretary you will play a key role in providing high quality business support in administration services to the Firm and its fee earners. Typing skills are essential as your responsibilities will include:

  • Audio and copy typing
  • Making appointments for clients either in person or by telephone
  • Taking calls and providing cover for reception as and when required
  • Filing correspondence and paperwork
  • Inputting information provided by fee earner onto the database as required
  • Opening new files at the direction of the fee earner
  • Obtaining and completing basic conveyancing documents
  • Preparing bills and e-chits
  • Ensuring confidentiality of all matters dealt with
  • Maintain high professional standards, confidence and integrity
  • Such other tasks as the firm may from time to time require

Experience in a commercial property department with a residential background is preferred although not essential and training will be given. We are looking for individuals with:

  • Appropriate manual dexterity and keyboard skills
  • Communicate effectively and courteously and convey information accurately.

  • Willingness and ability to learn new technology
