I am an Assistant Solicitor working in the Commercial Property department at Butcher & Barlow’s dedicated Commercial Office at Gadbrook Park, Northwich.
I began my training contract in September 2017 and I have undertaken a wide range of experience in commercial property matters, including:-
- Purchases and sales of both freehold and leasehold properties;
- Leases of commercial properties of various sizes acting for landlords and tenants;
- Promotion agreements;
- Conditional contracts for the purchase of properties;
- Site set-ups and plot sales for residential developments;
- Applications for adverse possession of land and first registrations of unregistered land.
During my training contract, I also carried out work involving agricultural matters and corporate/commercial matters such as share purchase agreements and business sales.
Prior to working at Butcher & Barlow I studied History at the University of Manchester and graduated in 2011 receiving a 2:1 History before studying the Graduate Diploma in Law part-time at BPP University in Manchester finishing in 2016. I then went on to study the Legal Practice Course full-time at BPP graduating in 2017 with a Distinction.
My interests outside of work involve watching and playing sports, in particular golf and football, as well as reading history books in my spare time and my favourite period of history is 18th and 19th-century European history.
