I am the senior partner of the firm and apart from being articled at Lee Bolton & Lee solicitors in London in 1980 and 1981, I have worked in various capacities for Butcher and Barlow continuously since 1982. I joined the partnership in 1985 and have been senior partner since 2000.
I was educated at Radley College and the College of Law and obtained distinctions in Company and Tax at the Chester College of law.
In the 37 years since I qualified, I have worked in most of the firm’s offices and have been particularly focused on company commercial and private client work. I have been a Notary Public since 1984.
In the last 5 years, I have concentrated on my role as senior partner of the firm and advising clients on Wills, Powers of Attorney and administration of estates, as well as being executor and Trustee for a number of clients.
Having been brought up on a farm, I have a particular interest in agricultural and land matters.
I have been involved in fundraising for Leonard Cheshire home at Sandbach and Tarporley Cottage Hospital.
I have an interest in many sports and have a wide interest in the history of all periods and all places.
