Frodsham is a historic market town in Cheshire, known for its scenic views, strong sense of community, and bustling high street filled with independent shops and cafes. With a history dating back to the Domesday Book, Frodsham has grown into a vibrant and welcoming town, making it an ideal location for those looking for both charm and convenience.

Butcher & Barlow’s office at 6 Church Street has been part of this thriving community for many years. The office was originally Hough & Co before merging with Butcher & Barlow in 2011, adopting the Butcher & Barlow name.

In 2022, the office expanded into the neighbouring building, creating a striking double frontage on Church Street.

The Team

Philip Jennings leads the Frodsham office Team. Phil began his career as a Trainee with the Firm and has been located at the Frodsham office since qualifying as a Solicitor in 2012. He specialises in the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney, dealing with Probate and the administration of estates and advising on the creation or administration of Trusts as well as Inheritance Tax, working with individuals, families, and businesses to provide clear and practical legal advice.

Working alongside Phil are Associates Sarah Thomas and Amanda O’Hare.

Sarah is an experienced Family Law Solicitor who joined the Team in 2024. Sarah, who has over 25 years’ experience, has practiced in the Cheshire area throughout her career. She provides compassionate and practical advice on a range of family law matters, including divorce, financial settlements and child arrangement. Her aim is to ensure that her clients feel supported and informed throughout what can often be a challenging time.

Amanda is a Residential Property specialist who has also worked in Cheshire throughout her career. Her client care is exceptional and many of her clients either return to her or recommend her to friends and family. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, she ensures that property transactions run smoothly, making what can often be a stressful experience as seamless as possible. Amanda is assisted by Megan Godfrey.

Supporting the Solicitors are our experienced legal secretaries Kay Moores, Jade Moss, Freya Isherwood and Helen Carmichael, who ensure the smooth running of the office. All live within the local area.
