COVID-19: Our offices are open for business
UPDATED: 21st September 2020 at 10.50am
As the coronavirus outbreak continues to evolve, the safety of our staff, clients, visitors to our offices and family and friends remains a priority for us. We continue to monitor the guidance from the Government and Public Health England, undertaking risk assessments and regularly updating our working practices.
We have been able to safely reintroduce working from the office by installing screens at reception desks and marking our safe distances on the floors, although we will still need to maintain occupancy levels to ensure social distancing can be adhered to.
We are able to offer prearranged face-to-face appointments, where feasible, at all our offices. If preferred, video conferencing facilities remain available for all clients and contacts who have access to a laptop with a webcam or a smartphone as well as telephone conferencing facilities. Please telephone your local office to make an appointment or contact your legal adviser directly: https://www.butcher-barlow.co.uk/our-people/.
Should a face-to-face meeting be arranged we will require you to wear a face covering throughout your attendance. Please arrive on time, but not early, for your appointment. Our doors are open but we ask you to ensure that the reception area is free before entering and to observe social distancing measures at all times when in our offices. Please use the hand sanitisers which will be made available both before and after the meeting.
We have introduced temperature checks for anyone entering the buildings – staff, clients and visitors. By entering the building, you are authorising us to take your temperature. Anyone with a temperature of 37.7 or above will not be allowed to remain on the premises. We feel that this is a necessary addition to keep clients, visitors and staff and their families safe.
If your temperature is acceptable, we will direct you straight into the meeting room where your legal adviser will be waiting. This ensures that there is no unnecessary exposure to other people whilst in the office. Windows in meeting rooms and throughout the offices will remain open where possible. Unfortunately, we will be unable to offer you refreshments at this time and we ask you to bring your own pen and paper with you.
It remains important for the safety of our staff and their families that you do not attend the office without a prearranged appointment or if you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or if anyone in your household has symptoms.
If you have any specific concerns or questions please contact us via email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will telephone you to discuss these concerns or queries.
This remains a difficult and challenging time for the whole of the UK and we appreciate your understanding. We will continue to update our own internal policies on a regular basis in line with Government advice and shall keep clients and contacts informed as to any changes in our working practices as a result.
