Assistant Solicitor: Family
We are seeking to recruit an experienced family Solicitor to join the expanding Public Law children team.
Branch: Bury or Tyldesley, depending on preference, with flexible working from home.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30 – 5.00
Purpose of Role: To provide advice, assistance and representation for clients as directed by the Partners.
Qualifications: Qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales
Ideally, the candidate should have three years post qualification experience. Experience in Public Law children work, including representing parents, children and other family members in Section 31 and other Public Law children proceedings is essential.
- Have Children Law Accreditation.
- Have the ability to manage own case load of primarily legal aid public law children work with minimal supervision;
- Be experienced in advocacy and willing to undertake own advocacy; and
- Have received regular instructions from Guardians to act for children.
Although the role is primarily relating to legal aid Public Law children work you may also be asked to deal with Private Law legal aid work as required.
