Butcher & Barlow

James began his legal career with Butcher & Barlow LLP, and was admitted as a Solicitor in 2007 after completing his Training Contact with us.

James is based at our Leigh Office and specialises in Wills and Probate, with a particular specialism in Contentious Probate Issues, Charity work, and Residential and Commercial Conveyancing.

Before joining the legal profession, James worked for Getty Images in the archival photography division.  During his time at Getty Images, James was responsible for newly acquired collections of old photography and managing relationships with contributors.  The legal side of contract management and copyright issues inspired James to change his career to the legal profession.  James' experiences outside the profession mean that he has a particular sensitivity and intuition when it comes to providing a client focused approach. 

Outside of the office James enjoys surfing and spending time with his family.
