Claire is a Solicitor and specialises in Personal Injury, Litigation and Family matters.

Claire was admitted as a solicitor in 1999 and joined Butcher & Barlow in 2011 as a result of the merger between the firm of Salt Veeder and Butcher and Barlow in that year.

Claire is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and a member of Resolution (family law group).

Claire has successfully represented clients in all types of personal injury cases and has experience of dealing with many types of claims.  In particular she deals with accidents at work, road traffic accidents, slips and trips, CICA cases and fatal accidents.  She has experience of dealing with complex cases and cases involving multiple defendants.

Claire represents clients in respect of general litigation matters and has a particular interest in contractual disputes along with landlord and tenant issues. 

Claire is also experienced in dealing with family matters with a particular emphasis on finances following on from divorce or separation and contact issues.  She has previously represented a client with profound hearing loss, accused of serious assault upon a child during contact, based upon video taped interviews which were successfully challenged in the High Court. 

Claire is passionate about helping her clients get results.  Her friendly professional style helps clients feel at ease.

Claire works closely with her clients and ensures that they are fully informed throughout.  She will deal with matters from taking initial instructions, advising on costs; which she understands is an important consideration for clients, negotiating and representing clients at court.

Out of work, Claire enjoys spending time with her family, reading and gardening when the weather permits.
